More and more homeless people are moving their tents from the park to Lindo Channel from Centennial all the way out to Nord Ave. The city needs to remove the campers that reside in the channel that runs through city limits. It's a water way. The homeless are breaking into vehicles along Ceres, Manzanita and Moraga. Our truck was broken into 3 weeks ago. The campers are leaving TONS of trash in the water way.

I agree with Nancy, but sadly the City voted to essentially push more campers there, and will likely continue to ignore the campers as they have done for years.

Here's an idea... the homeless are ruining our town. Make them go to shelters or get out of town or go to jail. Period. Obviously there are those with mental disabilities and that is another story. Hopefully someone a lot smarter than me can figure that one out but the rest are just punks who don't care about the law and want to do whatever they want to do. How do they keep getting away with it? Why are there zero ramifications for this behavior? We need to raise the bar and demand all citizens follow the laws or go to jail. You don't like the laws then move somewhere else and see if that town will be ok with it. I want our town back! I'm surprised at anyone who would be ok with it. I say this to any council person or citizen that wants to protect them...set up tents in your backyard for them then! I am tired of not being able to take our children to the park or walk downtown because of the absolute filth and disgusting behavior they have to see. We have shelters so there are options for the few that are just truly down on their luck and need a helping hand and I am all for that but this is a new breed of homeless for the most part and they are dangerous and addicts that prefer to live in the park and break into our cars and homes to take whatever they want! No more. It's like raising children, if you give them boundaries they flourish if you don't they have zero respect for you and crap all over you. Take Chico back!!!

You all act as if we are the only city in the country that has homeless folks. I wanna come to your homes and look in closets and yards. What do we expect about stuff when folks have no where to keep it. Have we ever went and met some of our fellow humans and heard their stories. Take some in you say.. I have and the NIMBY's called the police on me. LOL Never have I done anything to have police called on me. Go figure.

When we walk the path with a plan in place. I see so many Christians (which I am, FYI) with hate, jail them, Throw them out of their own town. Humanity is at a all time low. 10 to 15 percent are equally not nice folks just like every class of people. STOP saying ALL homeless are trash. No where near true

Possessions and pets are definitely a right I support, but they are also an obligation and burden too.

Now society in the world have I seen a situation where someone can purchase something and it becomes the responsibility of others to: transport it, take it to the trash can when they are done with it, store it for them, protect it from being stolen, allow those items to be stored in public spaces not designed for that. The entire argument that Chico is just like everywhere else is only ever made by people who have no pride in their community being clean, safe and welcoming to all people.

If you can care for the dog properly you shouldn't have it. If you cant care for your possessions, throw them away properly or give them away.

Our city is not someone's bedroom where they can leave their dirty underwear or dirty dishes wherever they want.

The Camping Homeless take this to the extreme by dragging their trash deep into the the parks and waterways before abandoning it in great quantities...

Nothing about this should be acceptable to any rational caring and compassionate adult.
