The neighborhood I've lived in for over 5 years now has had serious road deterioration. To date, I've never seen any attempts to fix any of it. This neighborhood is located in and around Pomona Ave. (but really consists of everything behind Walnut St. & W. 9th St -to- W. 1st St. & Walnut). Having the 'Blue Diamond' walnut processing plant located on the back of Miller Ave. has Really increased semi-truck traffic on these roads, and the deterioration is *Bad. This area should added to the upcoming road repairs in Chico. Thank you.
Please host a meeting to gather public input on the City's idea for turning over the management of the Chico Creek Nature Center to the Chico Area Recreation District (CARD), before bringing this item to the City Council for approval. Although CARD provides valuable services we all appreciate and enjoy, we are hopeful the City will take the time to gather public input and determine what other resources and expertise exist within our community before moving forward with this plan. The Stream Team and other existing community groups and programs can offer expert, cost-effective options for providing a more collaborative, inclusive, and effective approach for managing the Chico Creek Nature Center (an incredible community resource), including implementation of expanded educational opportunities for schools and our community.
