The requirements for emergency and medical response are only going to grow backrooms game; therefore, it is prudent to have assistance in place before we face circumstances in which we pay the price in lives lost by not being proactive.

Time sensitive & “Approval of this request does not obligate the Council to add this position as there will be sufficient time from date of submittal to approval and award of the grant to better evaluate the proposed program. If after analysis the Council chooses not to proceed with the program the Fire Chief will retract the grant request prior to award.”

Medical and emergency response needs are only increasing, it is wise to have support in place before we have situations where we pay a price in lost lives by not being proactive.
