Please enforce the NO camping in our parks. We live at the edge of Bidwell Park and are aware of camp fires in the park by the homeless. It makes no sense to allow them to live in the park, near to the river, and build camp fires. Why aren't these laws being aggressively enforced?

2.3 Ordinance AVA. I’m glad to see you paying attention to the matter of abandoned vehicles. WHY won’t you address the encampments which are causing even more harm to everyone?

Please enforce no camping within the city limits. I understand some will say we can't enforce the encampments if there isn't a place for the people to go. We need to acknowledge that there are available beds in the current shelters and they need to be used. We should not be focused on providing camping options, if people are not interested in following the ordinances of our city then they can choose to move to a place more suitable to their choices. Please support Prop 20.

Last night there were 2 illegal fires From transients living in Bidwell Park. Please enforce the no camp rules in Bidwell Park immediately. As a homeowner on Vallombrosa Avenue I am concerned for my personal and home safety due to the frequent and illegal fires in our parks. The city council and city manager MUST get the people out of the parks and waterways.

Complicated and chronic PTSD, which we are all living with, necessitates thoughtful, focused cooperation and collaboration. It means facing tragedies head-on with realism and care. Catering to the DuBose-Berry PAC results in the opposite -- increased devastation. Rob Berry makes a living out of suing you. You incentivize him, but promoting him to leadership positions and giving him 10 minutes to do a presentation on something he has zero experience in. 93% of us are against this. Listen to us.

Please direct enforcement of the Chico Municipal Code PROHIBITING CAMPING IN THE PARK. It is not safe for the transients who are camping and it is not safe for other park users. It is certainly unsafe for the residents who live in neighborhoods near the park. Almost every night the transients start fires in the middle of the park! There are needles and feces and trash all over, including in and near the water. Transients' vicious dogs have attacked park goers and their pets.

The time has come and WE need YOU to ban all encampments within the city limits. Just a couple weeks ago the Torres Shelter had 50 beds open, yet many of the unhoused prefer to be unruly and destroy our parks because YOU, allow them! If you do not nip this now I feel our city will reach a point of no return.

Clean this city up and stop kicking the can down the road. Clean the parks, enforce no camping laws, simple enforcement of laws would be good for starters !! Act like leaders instead of agenda driven zealots.

Immediate Enforcement:1) NO ENCAMPENTS in our Parks or Public spaces 2) NO ENCAMPENTS NEAR WATER WAYS! 3) Immediate action to be taken in these 2 areas. No more just moving people from one area to the other. They need to go to the centers! 4) Immediate CLEAN UP disinfection of City Plaza/ downtown areas
    * Council needs to sign the RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PROP 20 - Reducing Crime and Keeping Cal. Safe Act of 2020. This is not a fix all but will help repair some of what was wrong with Props 47/57.

This is now literally a matter of life and death. If you do not choose to enforce NO encampments in Bidwell Park the responsibility for the loss of life and property as a result of a resulting fire will rest with you. You have the power now to ensure our safety. If you do not choose to take action we will hold you individually and collectively responsible. Our fate rests in your hands. Please enforce no encampments in Bidwell park or within 150 feet of our waterways. We are counting on you.

Please immediately enforce NO encampments in Bidwell Park or within 150 feet of our city’s waterways. It’s only a matter of time before Bidwell Park has a Fire from the “warming fires” set by illegal campers. It will take years to undo the environmental damage you have inflicted on the Park by allowing camping.

Everything the 5 Council Members ever puts on the agenda... is NOT FOR THE GOOD OF CHICO. But,
    1. Send CSUC a letter demanding a response & apology to the Marsh JH ASB President for being being bullied & having her hard work removed because of ONE Peter Bailey.
    2. Send letter to CSUC admonishing Lindsey Briggs for her use of foul language to an Executive Admin for a welcome letter. Disgraceful.
    3. Address recent flier by Dem of Chico filled with lies & personal attacks on good citizens

Sign the Resolution supporting Proposition 20- Reducing Crime and Keeping California Safe Act of 2020. This Act is to repair some of what is wrong with Props 47/57. Violent crime has gone up in our city in every respect and citizens don't feel safe to use the public spaces. Do YOUR JOBS!

    • Once again I request Council sign the Resolution supporting Proposition 20- Reducing Crime and Keeping California Safe Act of 2020. This Act is to repair some of what is wrong with Props 47/57. I have emailed the resolution to you several times, you have only to sign it...but your silence speaks volumes about your lack of care for our safety! But hey...Brown will do one asking for Medicare for All!

Allow businesses to open indoor dining, whether the temps are in the 100’s, toxic ash is falling from the sky/air quality is above 170 for weeks or when the winter comes with freezing temps and rainstorms it’s unfair and unhealthy to the patrons and employees to have to eat outdoors.
